Profile

St. Cecilia School currently educates approximately 250 students in Preschool through 5th Grade.  There are two sections every grade but third, which has one section, bringing our average class size to 20.  Preschool classes are available for both three and four year old children.  A licensed classroom teacher staffs each class.  In addition, teacher associates assist in all classes preschool through 5th grade.  Ours is a Christ-centered environment where staff focuses on the whole child; spiritually, academically, artistically, physically and emotionally.  The quality of education received is supported by the high test scores students receive.  As measured by the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), our students in grades 3-5 demonstrate an average proficiency in reading of 97%, in mathematics of 97% and in science of 95%.  Graduates of St. Cecilia School go on to do well in middle school, high school, college, and beyond.

Our dedicated and experienced faculty and support staff encourages each child to develop their gifts and talents.  All students in St. Cecilia School are challenged to become lifelong learners.  This environment promotes each student’s feeling of self-worth and a willingness to love and care for others in the true spirit of Christ.
