Welcoming the New Roman Missal

On the first Sunday of Advent, 2011, the dioceses of the United States will begin to use the third edition of the Roman Missal. While the Order of the Mass will not change, we will experience new English translations of some of our current texts. Here are some helpful links as we prepare for the new translation:

Bread for the Journey

To assist with catechesis for the upcoming revision of the Roman Missal, members of the Archdiocesan Worship Commission  prepared informational paragraphs for use in parish bulletins entitled, “Bread for the Journey”.  The focus of the paragraphs is the Roman Missal and the Liturgy of the Word. The paragraphs give background information on the revision and renew and deepen the understanding of the Mass.
